My decision on choosing this painting was due to 3 factors:

1. I enjoy the scales of the different squares/rectangles, specifically how the red square stands out so well compared to the other rectangles.

2. I enjoy the chosen colors. Red, white, blue, and yellow are such simple colors but they make such an amazing painting when working together.

3. I also enjoy the shape Mondrian chose. The square/rectangle is such a simple shape but he made something beautiful out of it.
